Halloween Season and pet safety! PLEASE read even if you don't have a pet!

During Halloween season, the number of violence, death and brutal torture of animals and pets sky rocket!!! PLEASE, keep all pets inside! ESPECIALLY BLACK CATS. The myth of black cats (which we all know is so ridiculous as black cats are the most true and loving of all) seems to have stuck in many people sick minds. But ALL animals are open to terrible things happening to them during this time of year. AND pets are no different. When sick people, gangs, or kids can not find a stray on teh street to harm, THEY WILL go to measures of TAKING YOUR PET. As sick as it is to hear..... DON"T let your pets become prey to these acts: 1. being strung up my shoe laces and left to hung from street lights and wires. 2. being strung up and hung on trees...to be attacked alive by larger animals/dogs trained to kill. 3. being set on fire alive 4. being sprayed by aerosols 5. being jumped on while alive...slowly breaking their bones and crushing their organs and skulls, or deeming them unable to move or cry aloud until they die ...SLOWLY These are just a few of things happening at a higher rate during this season. Yes it is SICK. But it IS REAL. I live next door to a cat mutilator. I know how these people think. They are highly distrubed. Things you can do to protect your pets: 1. Keep all pets INSIDE during this month. When Pets must go out to the bathroom or for walks, make sure they are attended with someone you trust or yourself AT ALL TIMES. 2. DO NO leave a pet chained in the front yard. KEEP THEM IN. 3. Don;t think that because they are in a fenced in backyard they are 100% SAFE. THEY ARE NOT. When spied by a sadist, they will find a way to get to them no matter what. 4. Be careful of the CHOCOLATE and other treats around your house. Dogs and cats especially can not eat these, and it is FATAL if they are consumed in large amounts!!!! Make sure small children or young kids are not sharing any of the "treats" in their basket with fluffy or fifi! and most of all, if you are truly an animal lover, you will provide some safe escapes during this month around your house for the strays out there that are not lucky enough to have a family like you. Tiny areas under the porch only animals can get through, a tiny opening in the garage or under the door so they can slide through, or even a little cat house with some cat nip and a blanket...can help a homeless cat find safety when it is being chased by something bigger, meaner, and down right viscous. And sadly, that is not usually another larger animal....at this time of year...it is a person.
