HorrorFind convention 2009

So i was invited to the HorrorFind Convention 2009 by a producer i worked with to help promo his movie. I was able to bring playboy photos to sign, meet fans of mine in Baltimore, and of course, new people in the film industry.

I had a BLAST.

The highlights of the weekend were getting to hang with Danny Trejo at the bar on saturday night, the costume contest before hand, being carried around the bar by Derek Mears (Jason from 2009 remake of Friday 13th), meeting Margot Kidder and chatting it up with Jerry Moore (Borloff) and others from Monster Madhouse...whom i hope to work with soon!

There were soooo many cool and unique costumes there! We had a gargoyle with wings that opened and closed; a dead corpse with spider webs (eek! and spiders!) on him; two different Grim Reapers; a ghostly southern bell; a little ape-child; and my favorite of the night.... the excersist priest and the possessed linda blair vomiting in her bed as he tosses holy water on her and chants!

check out the cool video i took of the celebrity guest judges and some of the contest:

on set The Great American Seriel Killer

Last February i filmed my role of Rachel, a young school teacher who is kidnapped and brutally raped and tortured, for Myzery Films movie "The Last Great American Seriel Killer".

Myzery Mathew and Mystress Myzery are very easy going producers, and i really had a great time shooting my scenes with Todd Servo, who plays the killer.

Now, what i liked about this movie is that it was a portrayal of the life and real murders of Robert Kemp, who tortured and slain girls for many years. Kemp is one of those that i actually was very interested in reading about..... as my interest in the psychopathic brain and thoughts ect is something i am in deeply involved in all the time. I had read about kemp years ago....so i was excited when given a chance to be one of his victims. Kemp was mainly well known for a in prison interview!

on set of Slime City Massacre

movie "Slime City Massacre"

Angelina Leigh joins SLIME CITY MASSACRE cast!

I will be playing HONEY in Slime City Massacre, the sequel to Slime City, an 80's cult classic and favorite.

About Slime City Massacre:
In the wake of a "dirty bomb" attack, a New York City neighborhood known as "Slime City" has been evacuated, except for the homeless ("displaced refugees"). Four squatters searching for food in the ruins of the Zachary Devon Soup Kitchen discover a supply of mysterious wine. When they drink the wine, they are transformed into hideous slime creatures driven to murder - an intermediate step as they are possessed by the spirits of cultists who committed suicide years earlier

About HONEY:
so yes, i will be HONEY, the hooker, in Greg Lamberson's Slime City Massacre. Honey is just trying to survive the terrible events happening during the post apocalyptic times in which the movie takes place in.

o...and YES, for my playboy fans out there....my BREASTS will also be joining the cast in a topless scene!!!!

this is one you guys wont wanna miss!!!

Being chosen to feature, with world renown novelist and photographer Jerry Harke, for Erotica 2009 in Washington DC....really made my month!!!

MOCA DC Art Gallery Owner Dave invited me to stay the weekend as the feature for his annual show, Erotica 2009.

I HAD A BLAST.

I have to say that the art gallery owner, Dave, has done an AMAZING job with his business. The walls of the gallery feature photos and drawings and paintings from various artists ...all of beautiful erotic art work.

Now, posing naked has become something i don't even think about doing , even at the public jobs, and i have done it so long it just as if i am clothed. I sometimes do not even realize i am naked haha.

This was very different....! I was this years Erotica featured nude model....and this was in front of MANY MANY MANY people. In fact....i looked out at one point from the stage to the crowd and realized...the place was packed from wall to wall.

Strangely, i stopped being nervous and suddenly began enjoying myself immensely. (Note.... i was really nervous when a fake nail on my left thumb flipped off and into the crowd...i still wonder who that could have hit LOL)

As a local MUA did my makeup, well known (and mega talented) pianist and poet Keith Winston played the piano pre-show.
Body painting from a local artist was displayed after my show, and i was able to enjoy some yummy wine after taking pictures with fans and signing some official playboy photos.

The gallery owner, Dave treated me so well while during this weekend...i just loved him. He really went outta of his way to make me comfortable for this event. I give my tons of thanks to him and Mr. Harke for giving me this AWESOME opportunity.

I had a chance to dine with Keith Winston the next day, and what an amazing man he seems to be! Very intellectual and an avid lover of history.....i could have sat all day long with him and listened to his vast knowledge and experiences in life. And, having a love of the piano, i really enjoyed listening to him speak about several of histories past musicians.

I also got in a photo shoot with Jerry Harke in the early morning (i wanted any chance to shoot again with Jerry that i could get...he work is simply gorgeous! Then i enjoyed dinner and a movie with Mr. Harke and his wife, and was able to walk around DC a bit and enjoy one of it's main strips.

My career has led me so many places...and has allowed me to meet some of the finest, most talented people in the WORLD. Jerry, Keith, and Dave are among those many people!

If you should be traveling to DC .... stop by the MOCA DC Art Gallery for sure.

And be sure to look for Jerry Harke's latest book (in which i have some photos spreads in!!!) called ""Real Redheads au Naturel ... at Home!" coming soon in 2009!!!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WASHINGTON D.C. – February 6, 2009 – Art lovers and aficionados of erotica won’t want to miss a special event March 6 at Georgetown’s MOCA DC Art Gallery. Playboy model Angelina Leigh will be present and will pose for the pleasure of attendees at the opening of the annual Erotic Art Show during a special exhibition photo shoot conducted by internationally acclaimed photographer Jerry Harke.
In addition to guest appearances on the Playboy Morning Show and Playboy TV, she has been a guest on numerous other radio and television shows and appeared in a variety of Playboy magazines. A native of Buffalo, N.Y., Angelina Leigh is an official “all natural” Playboy model and is starring in a new movie now being filmed called The Killing Fields.
She recently posed for Harke who is putting the finishing touches on his sixth book titled, Real Redheads au Naturel … at Home! “Jerry was a lot of fun to work with,” she said. “His new book features pictorials of girls who are natural red heads doing whatever they normally do in their own homes, au naturel! When he came to Buffalo to shoot with me, my grandmother was present for the shoot.”
“Angelina’s grandmother told me she’d never held a professional camera in her life,” Harke said. “But it didn’t take much persuasion to get her to try it and soon she was doing production shots while I was shooting with Angelina!” Production shots are images that show Harke taking pictures of the models he works with and they often appear in the back of his books in behind-the-scenes section. “Gram’s still talking about how much fun it was,” said Angelina.
Harke has been based in the Washington, D.C. metro area since 1982 and has done photography work not only in the U.S., but also in Canada, the Caribbean, Norway, France, Spain, Belgium, and Italy. His published books of photography include The Edwardian Lawn Dress: Gentle and Timeless, In Sappho’s Secret Garden: A Thesaurus of Love, and Nu Art en Noir et Blanc. Harke is also a novelist and has recently published two works of fiction. The first is titled “Lock Knot” and the second “On Hell’s Doorstep,” both from Marigot Publishing House, Inc. “I’m now working on my third novel,” Harke said. “The working title is Episodes.” Harke’s work can be seen online at www.jrharkephotography.com.
“We are so fortunate to have Jerry and Angelina present at the opening reception of our annual erotica exhibit this year,” said Dave Quammen, MOCA DC’s executive director. “Jerry serves on the gallery’s board of directors and last year he did a similar exhibition photo shoot at our opening reception where we had 250 people in attendance!”
The Erotica 2009 exhibit opens at 6 p.m. and goes until after 10 p.m. on March 6 at the MOCA DC Gallery in Georgetown. The work of numerous artists from throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area will be on display. The gallery is located at 1054, 31st Street NW, Georgetown, Washington, D.C.
